Pakar Ini Nilai Mixue-isasi Beda Dengan McDonald-isasi

 SURABAYA – Menjamurnya gerai es krim dan minuman teh dari jenama Mixue di Indonesia berhasil mengundang perhatian warganet. Alih-alih ramai membicarakan perusahaan asal Cina itu di jagat maya karena ekspansinya yang begitu cepat, bahkan mereka menjuluki logo Mixue yang berbentuk boneka salju Snow King itu dengan sebutan ‘malaikat pencatat ruko kosong’.

Pakar strategi pemasaran Prof. Dr. Sri Hartini, SE., M.Si., menyatakan bahwa Mixue-isasi adalah fenomena yang menarik dalam dunia marketing karena perusahaan tersebut berhasil menerapkan konsep-konsep marketing strategy secara presisi.

“Ada 4 tools yang paling banyak digunakan oleh perusahaan dalam marketing strategy, yaitu price, product,  place dan promotion. Dalam hal ini, Mixue berhasil menggunakan empat tools tersebut dengan baik,” ujar Prof Hartini pada media ini, Kamis (5/1/2023).

Menurut Prof. Hartini, kekuatan Mixue terletak pada harganya yang relatif murah. Dalam teori marketing strategy, hal itu disebut dengan penetration pricing.

“Memang Mixue ini sengaja merebut pasar-pasar es krim yang sudah ada dengan harga yang paling murah. Kita tidak tahu ke depannya kalau penetration pricing itu memang menawarkan harga yang paling murah atau nanti ketika kompetitor lain sudah tidak ada, pelan-pelan menaikkan harga,” imbuhnya.

Selain penetration price, ia menyebutkan bahwa harga jual Mixue juga dipengaruhi karena perusahaan tersebut memiliki banyak cabang sehingga perusahaan tersebut memerlukan banyak kebutuhan untuk produksi. Hal tersebut membuat Mixue mencapai skala ekonomis sehingga laku keras dan biaya produksi menjadi lebih rendah.

“Misalnya, kita mau beli packaging-nya, kalau kita cuman memproduksi ratusan unit dengan memproduksi ribuan unit, harganya akan lebih murah ribuan unit. Kekuatan utamanya itu pricing murah, low cost, dan sistem franchise sehingga semua diurusi oleh masing-masing cabang,” paparnya.

Selain itu, menurut Prof. Hartini, produk Mixue juga memiliki rasa yang tidak kalah dari produk-produk pesaing lainnya.

“Meskipun dijual dengan harga yang murah, Mixue justru berhasil membuat produk yang bagus dan mampu bersaing di pasaran,” tukas dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Airlangga itu.

Prof. Hartini juga menilai bahwa dari aspek distribusi perusahaan, Mixue berhasil mengandalkan kekuatan relationship atau kemitraan yang banyak sehingga tidak membutuhkan tempat yang mahal dan bagus, melainkan tempat yang ramai dan strategis sehingga hal itulah yang membuat ekspansi Mixue makin masif.

Terakhir mengenai promotion, Mixue menggunakan media social marketing seperti Instagram, Tiktok, dan sebagainya sehingga produknya mudah dikenal banyak orang dan viral.

Meskipun begitu, Prof. Hartini menjelaskan bahwa Mixue-isasi berbeda dengan McDonald-isasi meskipun keduanya sama-sama berekspansi sebagai franchise. Dalam hal ini, ekspansi Mixue lebih masif ketimbang McDonald karena harganya yang lebih murah sehingga orang lebih mudah untuk membuka gerai.

“Selain itu, saya rasa kalau McDonald dulu kita belum terbiasa makan roti dan kentang, itu dibuat orang jadi makanan yang biasa. Tapi, kalu es krim itu bukan makanan yang baru. Cara masuknya sama, tapi tetap keduanya berbeda,” tegasnya.

Terkait kompetisi dengan produk serupa dari pemain lokal, menurut Prof Hartini, eksistensi Mixue jelas berdampak terhadap gerai-gerai es krim dan minuman lainnya yang sudah ada di Indonesia, meskipun setiap produk memiliki target pasar yang berbeda. Karenanya, jika pasar-pasar tersebut tidak dijaga, maka kemungkinan akan beralih ke Mixue.

“Terlebih kondisi saat ini semuanya serba viral dan krisis moneter sehingga semua orang memiliki sensitivitas harga yang tinggi. Jadi, perusahaan lokal harus berbenah, harus meng-create produk baru dan terus berinovasi,” tandasnya mengakhiri keterangan.
